Restart Audio and Midi messes up instruments in mixer

• Sep 14, 2022 - 03:19

When I connect my blue tooth headphone after Musescore is loaded, I need to either

  1. Use the button to "Restart Audio and MIDI Devices" for them to become visible and use able ( button in the menu option Edit, Preferences, I/O) , or

  2. Restart Musescore completely .

Unfortunately, the side effect of using the restart button, is that my sound fonts get mixed up in the mixer, and I have to re map them - so more often than not, I just restart Musescore.

Is there a better way to do this?

Thanks!

Connecting the headphones before starting MuseScore is the better way. But if you forget, the restart button should work. If you have a particular score where the mixer settings getting get messed up, best to attach it and give precise steps to reproduce the problem. But also, you should try a nightly build of MuseScore 4 (see Announcement forum for more info) to see if the issue still exists there.
