Hello,
I have unexpectedly problem with playing some quarter notes. Two eighth notes sound instead of a continuous note.
In the newly formed measure, the newly written note sounds just as wrong.
Maybe it's a matter of copying a part of another voice that originally had eighth notes. In any case, it disturbs proper listening.

Please share a score (mscz) showing the problem and tell us exactly where to listen/look for it.
Also tell us what soundfont you are using. Occasionally some sound will have vibrato in it that fools people into thinking they are hearing multiple notes.
