How to change snare drum sound to brush
I'm working on a Funfair Fever/Super Mario World Medley since they sound so similar, and one instrument I added was for the Snare Drum. However, I want to change the sound and look to fit the brush style commonly found in jazz, as I think that fits better. How do I do that?
I don't want to add a full brushes drum set, as I'm only using the snare.

There is no brush sound in the standard GM soundfont - you need to use a brush set for this staff. Doesn't cost a thing to use, just select it in the Mixer. You'll need to work out which MIDI pitches correspond to which sounds and set up the drum set definition for that staff according to how you'd like to notate it - unfortunately there aren't really any standards for this.
