MuseScore 4 - File corrupted and Automatic Cresc. & Dim. + No Ped. for MuseSound GP?

• Oct 25, 2022 - 23:47

Hey guys,

(1st)
today I've downloaded MS4 to test out the new features, MuseSound etc., so just for fun I transcribed a small part of Beethovens Piano Sonata No. 2 and after reopening it I got the message that the file is corrupted. However if I ignore this message, the score opens up perfectly normal and everything plays as usual (beside the few playback issues which are still in the beta). So does anyone know whats the matter with my file? There is no details button yet.

MS4 seems to automically play crescendos and diminuendos. For example if measure 1 is marked with piano and measure 5 with forte, it automatically plays a crescendo even though I didn't add one. Is this a bug or a feature? And if its a feature how can I turn it off? It's pretty annoying to always place a small cresc. or dim. on the note before the new dynamic to prevent it (as you can see in the score).

The grand piano from MuseSound sounds great (even though sometimes you clearly hear the pressing of the key, which can get annoying on fast loud parts). But I've noticed that it doesn't play the Pedal notation. For example when playing Fantaisie Impromptu it makes no difference if I remove the Pedal from the notation and the other way around. Is this a known issue?

Thanks for your help in advance, have a great day!

To fix corruptions, see https://musescore.org/en/node/54721

The issue with crescendo and dimuendo is already reported, and the piano pedal was mentioned in the Beta announcement as still being worked on.

If you encounter further issues, be sure to report them on GitHub as requested in the announcement, so the developers can see them.
