MuseScore 4: How to relate a MIDI channel to an instrument?
I am happily using the loop MIDI driver in many scenarios. But obviously I am too narrow-minded to tell MS4 to map this score instrument to that MIDI channel. Any hints and clues? Thanksalot!

I would try to append a test section and try out all staffs. Another way is to export as .MIDI and examine MIDI events to find out channel number. I remember in musescore 3, a piano occupy one channel, a violin occupy 3 MIDI channels arco, pizzicato and tremolo, when total channels >16 musescore repurpose and reuse.
