Centering pitches in a measure
I use MuseScore to create exams and assignments. I'm wondering if there is a way to center pitches in a measure without the barlines moving and without having to go through moving the notes through the inspector (which moves the barlines). Any suggestions or hints would be gratefully appreciated.

Are you using the leading space adjustment? That's what I'd recommend. Although, if 'ts the same thing through the score, simpler might be to increase the appropriate margin in Format / Style / Measure.
