Extensive screen capture / photo export feature

• Nov 3, 2022 - 08:14

Hello,
I would LOVE to have the possibility to select one or multiple bars and then hit a button in order to export those bars as a png/jpeg/pdf etc. Right now, I have to select an area using the camera tool. Unfortunately this method stops working efficiently if the bars I want to screenshot are in two different lines, if I forget to deselect a note within those bars (because then it is selected and colored in the screenshot), if there’s a tie before or after the selected area etc. Also, it is really hard to select the area precisely in order to not have the bar lines or staff of the previous or next bar in the screenshot. Additionally, it would be awesome to have the possibility to add or remove the clef, time signature and accidentals of the project. I’m sure there’s lots of possibilities to this feature, for example to add or remove bar numbers etc.
I imagine it to be in a separate window, that opens when you press the button. Within there, you have a lot of settings to choose from and the exported graphic looks always clean, so one can use it for example in a PowerPoint presentation.
Thank You very much, I hope this is possible and will be implemented in the near future!

In the View tab, uncheck View Invisible. Then select what you want to remove and hit "V". Don't forget that when you are done you need to hit "V" again and go around to everything you made invisible and select them to finish making them visible again.
You could screen shot the page and open it in a photo editor and have control over how you want to deal with it. In Windows, Paint will do nicely.

Thanks for the help, buddy! This is exactly what I need. After all, I found great pictures and am looking for an opportunity to use them for my instagram pet account which I started promoting relatively recently. Agree that visual content plays a decisive role in attracting users to your page. Therefore, I am accustomed to selecting and using only the highest quality images.
