So when I was using the musescore editing thing, the moment I pressed play I heard an ear-piercing static sound in my right headphone. Is there a fix to this?

Sounds like an issue with your specific sound device and/or driver. If you give more information 0 what OS, what audio hardware/software, what version of MuseScore, what settings in Edit / Preferences / I/O - someone may be able to advise better.
