Stacking notes MuseScore v3
Hi,
I haven’t used MuseScore in a few months and when I try to enter stacked notes now, it won’t actually place them one on top of the other, it just keeps shifting the notes to the side…! Previously, once I just placed the notes one on top of the other it stayed as a chord but not anymore.
Can anyone tell me how to get around this, I’ve tried looking it up in the handbook but didn’t have any luck.

I guess by "stacking notes" you mean "chords". These are entered by pressing the relevant note name key while holding the SHIFT key. See https://musescore.org/en/handbook/3/note-input#chords
If I guessed incorrectly come back and describe in more detail what you are trying to do.
Make sure you are not in "Insert" note input mode. Step time is the default.
