Drum sounds are incorrect
Okay so I'm writing a piece, as you do with MuseScore, and I start on concert bass drum because I need a percussive bass part. It has the exact same sound as the snare drums.
I tried doing everything I could find that was already posted on the forums to fix it, but it's too similar for me to even wrap my head around. No matter the settings I change or how I edit the mixer, it still has the "tss" of a snare instead of a true "boom" of a bass drum. Its driving me insane.
Can anyone help?

Using the default soundfont or custom ones?
My guess is you simply copy and pasted a snare part to the bass drum. that won't work indeed - the pitch is what controls the sound in percussion, and pitch is copied along with duration. You can change the pitch by selecting the notes and hitting up or down to "transpose" them to a pitch defined for bass drum.
If that's not it, then as mentioned, we'd need you to attach the score in order to understand and assist better.

I wrote the bass drum part of it first since it was the "heartbeat" of the piece, so I don't think it was a problem with copying and pasting. However, I opened the program today, and it had the correct sound for the bass drum. MuseScore might have just been bugging out for me last night.
