Hub doesn't work on MacOS without admin priviledges

Hello,

I'm a long term musescore user, and wanted to try the new hub application. Unfortunately it will not work on my mac. I donot have administrative priviliges but the hub requires them to install a helper, and then it cannot connect to the helper and quits....

I would appreciate a fix so ordinary users can use this app on non-admin systems like mine. Is there a work around?
