How do you install Sforzando?

• Dec 18, 2022 - 05:43

I've installed the program on my PC to be able to use my soundfonts, but pointing MS4 to the Plogue or Common Files > VST3 folder doesn't do anything. I just want to use my sounds.

Make sure to have the vst3 checkbox set when installing Sforzando. The restart MuseScore.
Sforzando installs to the default vst3 location as per the specification, so you don't have to set or configure any folders on MuseScore's end at all.

Just uninstalled & reinstalled to C:\Program Files\Plogue\sforzando (default), selected all components (including VST3), installed to C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST2 & C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\VST2 (both default) & finally C:\Program Files\Plogue\sforzando (default), & loaded the program once. MuseScore notices Auburn's Graillon & Melda VSTs, but not kiloHearts or Sforzando. I have restarted MS4 multiple times. I even reconfirmed the folders preferences point to Common Files > VST3, which did nothing.

You shouldn't have to point your preferences additional folder to the default location, it is hardcoded in.
For me this "just works" no manual adjustments needed at all.

But I also don't have any other VSTs, not sure if you do?
