Opening additional *.mscz file opens a new Muse 4 application.

• Dec 18, 2022 - 16:27

I want all my opened files to appear in the one opened application in Muse 4. Instead, I can only view one file at a time in a separate Muse 4 application.

How do I fix this? I'm on a Mac.

Thanks.

I've the same problem in the Windows 11 version of MS4. MS3 handled multiple tabs fine. I hope this will be a priority fix in MS4. Thanks for this wonderful application, which I use nearly every day.

Think about it. Yes MS3 has multiple tabs showing. But you can only look at one at a time. Let's say you have two scores loaded in MS3. Click on the tab of the second score to view it. In MS4 minimize the first score to view the second. One click in both versions. Of course there is more to it than that. But hardly a deal breaker. Just different. It's also the way some other notation programs work. That doesn't make it OK, just different from what we may be used to working.
Or go to the taskbar and select the instance of MS4 you want. I auto hide the taskbar because I need all the screen I can get. MS4 won't let the taskbar show if it is hidden.

Point taken, your suggestion may work for some, but not for me. It's difficult to please everyone all of the time, so arriving at a happy medium is not always possible. For me, it's not exactly a deal breaker, it won't stop me from using Musescore, but definitely frustrating. Thanks for replying.
