MS4: Articulations in Note Input Mode / Articulations after Tie
Articulations in Note Input Mode
MS3: To enter a new note (say, a G) with a Staccato marking, I could type:
G, Shift+S
MS4: It seems I have to type
Shift+S, G
and then again Shift+S
(if I don't want the next note to be Staccato too).
Is this change intended, so articulations have to be input before the pitch?
Articulations after Tie
MS3: To enter two G's connected by a tie, the second one having a Staccato marking, I could type:
G, Shift++, Shift+S
MS4: I have not found a way to enter the same thing using only Keyboard shortcuts. I expected
G, Shift+S, T
to work, but it seems that activating an articulation before entering a tied note does not have an effect.
Is this on purpose? Is there a different way to enter an articulation on a note tied to the previous note?

This is something I've been struggling to re-learn. Does anyone know if there's any way to change this?

You can customize all shortcuts in Edit>Preferences>Shortcuts.

Sorry, I should have been more clear. How do I make it so I can press the articulation shortcut before the note like in MuseScore 3, instead of after, which is what MuseScore 4 does?
