VST Plugins not playing back. No sound.

• Dec 22, 2022 - 23:32

I already have the sforzando VST plugin installed. It works fine in Logic, Mainstage, Band-in-a-Box, etc. I'm running macOS Ventura 13.0.1 (22A400).

I open up a score in Musescore4.
I open the mixer, and can select the VST just fine. (Screenshot attached)

When I playback the score, I can see that sforzando is seeing midi input. Keys light up on the keyboard.
But there is no sound. (Screenshot attached)

When I use the plugin in logic, values populate in the performance monitor section, including "RAM DIRECT," "Note Ons," "Used Layers," etc.
In MuseScore4, no ram appears to be USD.

Something isn't communicating somewhere, but I can't tell what the issue is.

The MS Basic sound fonts work just fine. So do the added Musescore library of sounds if I download them.

I can't figure out why this isn't working.

I have exactly the same problem. No sound with the sforzando VST3 plugin. The sforzando stand alone application works correctly, though. And the sfizz VST3 plugin is OK too.

Ditto here - sforzando doesn't make any noise. Other VSTs (such as Spitfire Audio LABS) work fine. It's just this one, which is kind of a drag since this is one of the most important VSTs out there...

same thing happened here(windows 11). SFZ worked just fine on the previous version, I hope I could find a way to downgarde musescore to 4.1.1
