Providing own instreumtns.xml file in Musescore4

How can I provide my own instruments.xml File in Musescore4? Or is there another way of specifying own instruments?

This is a real problem IMHO
I couldn't find anywhere in MS4 where the instruments.xml can be changed.
I think we've lost that important feature for now, and possibly longer with the addition of muse sounds.

I have the same issue.
I believe that I found the configuration that works for telling MuseScore where to find a custom instruments.xml file. I've posted a note here.
