Brackets disappear when one stave is hidden
I have cello and flute parts which are bracketed together. If a page is reached where say the flute is hidden (because of empty staves) then the bracket disappears, whereas I would have expected it to stay in place around the cello part. Am I mistaken?

I think that MuseScore is working "as designed" in this case.
In the Issue Tracker see #24537: Reducing bracket span makes it disappear
See in particular this remark in the thread (my emphasis):
"This is probably related to changes made so that single staves left after Hide Empty Staves would not get a bracket."
