musescore 4

I upgraded to Musescore 4 and have downloaded it via Muse Hub, and also directly, but when I try to open it I just get the splash screen and it quits out!
I paid for M 4 Pro and tried again but I am getting the same behaviour.
This is on a Macbook Pro late 2015 running Monterey 12.6.2.
I can still run M 3.6.2.
Any ideas?

That happened to me, too. I started Muse Score 4 from the Applications folder and that seemed to finish the installation. I subsequently get an empty full-screen window titled MuseScore 4 and a splash-screen titled Getting Started (I think). I could close Muse Score from the navigation bar and tried it again. Now, only the empty full-screen window appears.

Edit: Found another thread about this issue and it suffices to restart the computer (I know, easy to miss; doesn't often need to be done with a Mac).
