Introducing barlines without changing measure spacing

Greetings everyone!

I was wondering if it is possible to introduce a barline in the middle of a measure without changing any of its previous spacing configurations. I tried to uncheck the barline's automatic placement after introducing it on the score, but it didn't work.
All of this is for a specific measure of a work I'm revising in MuseScore 3 (the last one before I start working with MuseScore 4! :). Since this particular measure has a specific metric structure that required a more complex edition in regards to spacing, I was trying to avoid having to redo it from scratch... Of course that if there's no better solution, I will have to do it inevitably.
