Opening files in Musescore4
I am just trying to get used to Musescore4 having used Musescore3 for a long time.
There is no 'open' icon at the top left. In fact that toolbar is missing altogether.
Every time I open a file using the drop down 'file' list, it opens a complete new window. Is there a better way?
Thank you
Jo

No open, no save, no toolbar, just the menu
And no, there's no other way than to open each score in a new instance of Mu4

Thank you.
I have found that going to the bottom of the recent scores and clicking 'open other' does not keep opening up new windows.
I am getting used to managing without the toolbar, but it was useful to have it! I guess that's progress!
Maybe I will just go back to Musescore3 again, it seems much easier to use.
Thanks for your help.

Are you saying that ypou found a method to have more than score open per instance?
At least the close button was coined 'a thing of the 90s' by the head of MuseScore design...

I think so, it seems to work for me. I have shut everything down, but I will try it again tomorrow. It was at the bottom right of the screen when I had the display with my latest scores.
I am more of 'a thing of the 90s' myself! I like a close button, and all those other useful things.

Same here (I'm actually even a thing of the 60s), I too would want the save button back

I am of the 60s myself, but my computer use is very much 90s. I have taken all this time to even try out Musescore4.
