MS4 playback differences from MS3

In MS3 there were some advanced variables that allowed smooth scroll and could control when the page started to move and (sort-of) how much music ahead of the cursor remained visible. This is required for playing along with (otherwise you only get a sudden jump when the playback point reaches the end of the line).

Likewise, the metronome used to have a count in feature which was useful for getting the tempo without having the metronome playing all the time.

How can I do these things in MS4, please?
