duplets & triplets notation MS4
I'm having one helluva time with notation of duplets. I get shorter notes with lots of rests, rather than the two quarter notes that were written. Ideas?

If not, come back and attach a score (.mscz file) you are having problems with and describe what you are doing, what you expect to happen and what happens instead.

Thanks - I'll go through it step by step. I just never had a problem with it before.

The thing people often take time to realise is that you need to start by selecting a note or rest that has the duration of the entire tuplet you want to create. For example, to create triplet of three quarters in the time of a half, start by selecting a half note or rest.
