Musescore 4 can't find VST3 plugins

• Jan 15, 2023 - 09:55

Hi Support Team

Its been great pleasure to see new features coming up in Musescore 4 version, but I found an VST3 issue, my basic info:
OS: Windows 10 Version 2009,
Arch.: x86_64,
MuseScore version (64-bit): 4.0.1-230121751,
revision: 9b70a8c

I've added "C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3" folder into VST3 folders under "general->folders", there are 3 files in that folder:
Kontakt 7.vst3
LABS (64 Bit).vst3
Reverb.vst3

Kontakt7 can be found in other DAW like Reaper, and it works well, but both Kontakt7 and Spitfire Labs can't be found in Mixer Audio FX dropdown list in Musescore 4, only Reverb shows up in the MuseFX, do you have any idea of fixing this problem? many thanks!

Instruments and effects are not accessed from the same button. Kontakt and Labs are not FX, they are instruments. You need to use the dropdown of the blue "Sounds" button instead of the "Audio FX" button.
