How to add Musescore 3 soundfont file to Musescore 4 to be able to use Musescore 3 soundfont instruments in Musescore 4

Some of the MuseScore 3 soundfont sounds are quite nice - a good range of piano types, range of string ensembles, a rock organ - for example. How can I copy or download this Musescore 3 soundfont file - MuseScore_General.sf3 - and add to Musescore 4 for greater sound variety?
And related. Some of the MuseSounds in my MuseScore 4 are at much lower volume than others. What I am missing? How to get the lower volume sounds up to normal, without using the volume knob in the mixer?

re:ms3 ms4 soundfont
assume what you're talking is the built-in sf2/sf3, AFAIK the ms3's MuseScore_General.sf3 and ms4's MSBasic contain the same data.
It's just that the ms4 new playback engine add reverb and the function to pick sound is absent , as of ms4.0 and 4.01 , see https://musescore.org/en/node/334701

check out ms4 handbook for workaround
