Change beam direction for 1note of 6 1/2 notes 4.0
Bar 8 has a mixed beam direction. In the past, I've been able to grab the end of the beam and move it to where I want. I can still move it in 4.0, but the stem isn't visible in the new direction.
I unclicked Auto-place for the stem and the beam, separately and together. Is there something else I need to be doing?

It's not exactly pretty, but you can reposition the beam as you want, then edit the last note to have negative stem length (Properties › Stem), to be on the other side of the stem (Properties › Head › Show more), and to have a little more leading space (Properties › Appearance).

Thanks, Kaposvári Tamás . I've been having problems with MuseScore, and it crashed last night. My son reinstalled MuseScore on my cold laptop this morning, and everything is working fine now.
He told me not to try to figure out why it crashed. I have an SSD that should be here in a few days. Upgrading from HD to SSD might solve all my problems. I'll just keep my nose out of tech stuff and work on my projects.
