How to delete one voice from a stave with two voices.

I am editing a score in Musescore 3.6.2 in order to remove double stopping. I can find no way to delete one voice, leaving the other voice alone. If I delete one of the notes, I get a rest instead. I can make the rest invisible, but it does not delete it. I can move one note to overlap the other, but I have two stems, one up and one down.
