Multi-percussion part in MuseScore 4

• Feb 18, 2023 - 02:54

I'm writing a piece with a multi-percussion part, i.e., several instruments played by one person—pretty standard practice. I've tried to edit the drumset, which has worked perfectly in the past, but I've come across two issues—neither of which is awful, both of which are less than ideal:

• Muse Sounds will not work. Muse Sounds seems to only work with percussion if it is one instrument per part, not with a multi-percussion part. So it's kind of useless for a part like this.
• MS Basic is quite limited in the sounds that it is offering. For example, I'm trying to write the part for tambourine, woodblock, snare drum, two toms, and bass drum. The tambourine, snare, and bass drum are just fine, and I can use a clave for the woodblock. (Not ideal, but good enough.) But the closest I can get to toms is congas. Better than nothing, but a far cry from what they should sound like.

So my questions:
• Is there any way to make Muse Score work for this?, or
• Is there any way to add sounds to a drum set beyond what MS Basic offers?

I'm running MS 4 on Mac 13.1. I've attached the score.
