Advice on a monk transcription/adaptation
Hi,
I'm a 43 years old piano beginner (I started 2 years ago), willing to play cool tunes from classical to jazz. I follow piano classes once a week. Recently I got obsessed with "Reflection" (aka Portrait of an Eremite) from T.Monk, and found some scores here and there.
Most of them has the right hand written, but the chords come in "letters" form, which I can't play instinctively. So I tried to fusion 2 scores, an easy right hand + a full retranscription of the piece that gave me clues for basic chords.
Could anyone try and listen to the result, to check if it's correct or could get any additions to sound better (or Monkish) ? I'm not even sure I can play this properly, but at least I'll know it doesn't come from the score !
Thanks a lot !

Yes ! That's the version I used for the right hand
I'm not on MU4, so I can't listen to your version, but I enclose mine. Chords were generated with a plugin and there may be room for improvement, but it's a start...

Great, thanks !

The one you sent me is to difficult for me, but it gives me ideas for the parts where I could'nt find the right chord (and thus didn't put any)
Also I think it's a bit too "clean" and lacks the dissonant touch of Monk's compositions. But that's just the way I see it and I'm not a pro.
