Unicode entry and font issues
I routinely use U+01FD to produce ǽ, required for the correct typesetting of ecclesiastical Latin. However, MS4 does not always like that. I cannot currently reproduce what was happening yesterday, wherein entering that with the Unicode keyboard on my Macbook (Ventura 13.0.1) simply didn't do anything, but now it's working. (It is possible that I didn't change keyboards, but that's unlikely; I virtually never change back before seeing that macOS shortcuts didn't do anything!).
What is happening still, however, is that I cannot copy and paste the character, which is sometimes easier than switching back and forth between keyboards, since almost invariably, the next accented character can be typed from the regular keyboard (such as option + e + u to get ú.).
I get just ǽ when copying to this site, instead of ǽ. In MS3, however, both the Unicode entry and copying-and-pasting worked as expected.
(This score file has this problem at the end of the currently-inserted music and words, not the one from my last post, and vice-versa; sorry for double-posting!)

This is the Unicode character you are discussing:
LATIN SMALL LETTER AE WITH ACUTE (U+01FD)Unfortunately that specific character is not available on the Special Characters popup screen on the default Common Symbols tab (invoked in MS4 with Shift+F2). I use the Common Symbols tab for the entry of all accented characters within lyrics, because my UK keyboard does not easily produce accented characters. And because I find it really irritating to have to change between keyboard layouts.
Maybe you should request that any characters which you frequently need should be added to the Common Symbols tab? This is the content at present:

Whether or not it's accessible that way doesn't matter to me. It's just as inconvenient as accessing the Unicode keyboard, but once the symbol was typed once, I was able to copy and paste it in Musescore 3.
Unfortunately, this is a more widespread problem than I thought. Mac users can use Option + t on the regular keyboard to enter the dagger (U+2020). Copying this, however, yields †, which is obviously not correct. It should be † by itself.
This is…not good.
