How do I get small beams and flags in musescore 4.0?
I don't see the chord section in the properties part and that's all people say to do on the forum.

It's very confusing in v4 compared to v3 where the distinction was much clearer.
Cuesize affects all notes on the chord + beams and flags, but small notehead (10cm further down the properties pane) applies only to a single notehead.
