Update Notice shows everytime I open MS4

Been really enjoying the newest version, even though it still crashes frequently when I do things too quickly, but all in all, I'm really happy.

Recently, everytime I open the app it prompts me to update to 4.0.1 - so I click the button to start the update. It shows a progress bar. When it is full, I have to close MS (obviously) and am then transported to a Setup Wizard with the options "change, repair or remove installation" - change is greyed out, so my only option is repair. It prompts me to allow changes to my system by MS (again, obviously). It shows a progress bar repairing MS, then I'm asked to click finish to exit the Setup wizard.
Now when I open Musescore 4 again, I'm shown I have version 4.0.0, and upon opening it prompts me to update... rinse and repeat. I've gone through this circle a few times with no changes.

Am I doing sth wrong? What is happening here? I guess "repair" isn't really the correct option, but there seem to be no other available solutions... Appreciate the help, otherwise I'll just skip the update, but I'd really like to test all the features.
