version 4..0.2 problem shortcut key A
Hello there,
I tried to write bassdrum in my drumscore (4.0.2) but for some reason the program doesn't accept the A key shortcut
I could change the shortcut key, but this is only a temporarily solution i think..
When playing piano the A key is also not working

Are you by chance on Mac? Or, are using a Swedish keyboard? There have been a handful of reports of problems with this shortcut specifically on certain systems, but I don't think anyone has figured out the cause. A possible workaround is to try to assign "A" as the shortcut to some other command to see what it is listed as conflicting with, and reset that other command. On some systems where this happens, it's the "go to top staff" command I think.

Hi Marc!
i'm on a mac indeed. Dutch layout. and i've read the other comments of people to. I tried to find a conflicting A shotcut but there is not one listed. And indeed; cursor goes back to top staff. But i don't see that listed
I'm having same problem for few months, still it hasn't been fixed :(( I have tried everything - reinstalling updating, changing shortcuts, deleting shortcut, adding new one etc. It's very anoying I'm used to using letters for note writing in since earlyer versions of musescore

Try a nightly build of 4.1 to see if it's fixed there - a number of similar issues have been. meanwhile, the workaround is to go to Edit / Preferences / Shortcuts and search for the "go to top staff" command and redefine that to something else (or perhaps nothing). Somehow on certain keyboards the "A" gets assigned to that command, so that's what you need to change.
