more flexible screen layout, so that it fits on laptop screen

• Sep 27, 2014 - 00:24

Hi,
I just installed the nightly build 2.0 from 26.September 2014. It looks and works fine, but the whole canvas of the software is too large for a laptop screen with 1366x768 pixels: when I want to enter for example text for the title, then the entry fields are below the screen. I seem not to be able to reduce the size of the area above where the pages are shown. It would be great if this area could be resized, so that the bottom area with the entry fields becomes visible.

Cheers,
Reinhold

Can you post a screen shot showing what you mean? I work on low resolution screens too, and I haven't noticed problems.

For instance here is what editing a title looks like when I run a recent 2.0 development build on my laptop at 1024x768, which I do when using my iPad as a remote desktop via Splashtop. As you can see, there is actually plenty of room to spare:

Hi, sorry that I had posted my previous post a bit prematurely. After a bit of tinkering I found that with the window handle in the lower right corner (which was partially occluded by my Windows task bar) I was indeed able to resize the overall window.
So I am now able to see the full size canvas, which initially seemed (after startup) to stretch to the very bottom of the screen.

--- in any case: thank you for your reply, and thanks for this great software! I am working on a project, getting score and parts from a composition that is in SONAR, and MuseScore does have much better score creation capabilities than SONAR.

Many regards,
Reinhold
