Corrupt files

• Apr 3, 2023 - 12:40

Hi, I use musescore 4.0.2. For the last three days, a lot of my files have started to go corrupt. I had never happened before. I have tried to go to the msbackup files and use the ones thee but they are corrupt as well. I'm kind of starting to panic now because it's so many hours of work, and also because I have to keep editing other scores today as well, and I'm scared they go corrupt too, for whatever reason. I don't use particular time signatures or had no problems with irregular measures before saving those files.

This is the error message

Error=XML_ERROR_EMPTY_DOCUMENT ErrorID=13 (0xd) Line number=0

This file contains nothing else than about 28kByte hexadecimal 0xFF.
It seems to happen again and again with MuS 4.
You should for serious work either take MuS 3.x for the time being or at least save it frequently under always new names to have at least an older version.

I am sorry, the attached file is damaged beyond repair. Try to find a backup / autosave copy on your computer.
