First and Second Endings
This is my issue which I hope you can help resolve.
This is a copy of a music sheet from a book titled "Complete Learn to play Piano Manual", but without the
accompaniment CDs. The instructions on how to play the song are as follows
This song contains the first and second endings. The first time you play through the song, play the first ending. Then go back to the beginning. The second time you play through the song, play the second ending instead of the first.
The first time through, play from the beginning to the end of bar 8.
Then play again from the beginning, but this time do not play bars 7 and 8 (the first ending)
but play bars 9 and 10 (the second endings).
The problem begins after the song plays the first repeat at measure 8 and goes back to the beginning, measure 1, it plays to measure 6, skips measure 7 and plays measures 8, 9, and 10, instead of skipping both measures 7 and 8.
Then it plays the second repeat starting at the beginning playing through to measure 6 and repeats the same mistake by skipping measures 7, and not 8 but plays 8, 9, and; 10
I have tried to resolve this issue three times by creating a new score, but the problem persists.

You have placed Volta 1 wrongly over just the 7th measure and then visually stretched it to cover the 8th measure. You need to select both the 7th and 8th measures and then apply the Volta or apply the Volta and then use [Shift][Arrow] to move the Volta to include more measures.
You have extended the first time ending line (aka volta) by dragging it with the mouse. This only moves it visually. It is actually still attached only to measure 7. See the green lines in the picture that show where the "anchors" are in the score.
The correct way to extend a volta is to use SHIFT + right arrow. Or even easier, select the range of bars you want the volta to include and then click on the volta in the lines or repeats and jumps palette.

There is another mistake in your score:
The very last measure must not contain the "right repeat sign", but "D.C." to play the score again. Perhaps you need to specify "Play repeats" in the properties of the D.C. command in order to play the score the same way the second time as the first time.
