File corrupted after power surge
Hello!
Really what the title says. I get the message for corruption, press open anyway to no response from the program. I have tried opening the backup file (also corrupted) and have tried opening in 7zip to no avail. I have been working on these days for a week so I'd be extremely grateful for anyone that can help me. Thank you!

Those files only contain the value 00 repeated many times. MuseScore thinks they are MuseScore files from their suffix but can't read them so it reports they are corrupt rather than empty.
Have a look and see if you strike lucky:
Windows: %LOCALAPPDATA%\MuseScore\MuseScore4
MacOS: ~/Library/Application\ Support/MuseScore/MuseScore4/.
Linux: ~/.local/share/MuseScore/MuseScore4/
I use the Save As... (newname) feature a lot. Saving a file is like wrapping up your score, putting it in a box and mailing it to yourself but destroying the old score before the new package arrives.
