I cannot open the muse score studio app
Hi! I have a problem. I’m using MuseScore 4.5.2 with macOS Sequoia 15.6.1 on a MacBook with an M1 chip. For some time, the program has been taking about 5 minutes to launch, but after starting it worked normally. This morning, however, playback of individual instruments stopped working. I reinstalled MuseScore and Muse Hub several times, but now when I launch the program it crashes immediately.
I tried starting in safe mode via terminal, restoring factory settings, uninstalling the Hub and downloading the standalone version of MuseScore, running it both through Rosetta and natively—nothing helped. I urgently need to finish a score but can’t access the program. What am I doing wrong

As far as I know, macOS generates a crash report. Create a text document, copy the contents of the report into it, and attach the file here.

I haven’t seen this issue before. Do you have a MacBook Pro M1?
For some reason, the Intel version is running on your machine. Try installing the native MuseScore build for Apple Silicon instead. Just download and install the universal binary from this link: https://musescore.org/en/download/musescore.dmg

yes, I have MacBook Pro m1. It was running intel because I was trying to run via rosetta. I've deleted app and install via your link in both normal mode and rosetta, unfortunately it's still not opening (now is not even creating crushing report). On the activity monitor I can see that the app is not responding. Here is analysis of sampling score just before app crash.

Try resetting MuseScore to factory settings first.
To do this, run the following command in the Terminal:
/Applications/MuseScore\ 4.app/Contents/MacOS/mscore -F
If that doesn't help, try launching MuseScore from the Terminal like this:
QT_QUICK_BACKEND=software /Applications/MuseScore\ 4.app/Contents/MacOS/mscore

Sorry, I’m out of ideas. I can only suggest downloading and trying to run 4.6 alpha: https://musescore.org/en/node/382028

You could also try MS 3.7 Evolution as it can open MS4 scores. It can run alongside other versions of MS on the same computer.
