Multi bar rests - Multi measure rests
In M4 regardless of how many bars you highlight, when you press keystroke M it creates a multi bar rest for the remainder of the blank score.

The settings are in Format/Style/Rests.
(Right-click on the measure at which you want the multimeasure rest to break)

It's been that way ever since, multi measure rests are a score wide setting, you'd use them after having entered all notes
