problem with virtual keyboard on musescore 3.6.2.5480206000
i am currently using musescore 3.6.2.5480206000 and this evening i can only get the virtual keyboard to sound when i'm inputting notes. if i don't have the note input selected (in upper left hand corner) then nothing sounds when use the mouse on the keyboard.
have restarted program and computer 3 times TO NO AVAIL. then i downloaded a new version of musescore 3.6.2.5480206000 (my computer is too old for the new update)....and still no sound.
is there something i'm not seeing in the setup or preferences?
——— to summarize ——— when i press the playback everything that's been written sounds. and when i input the notes the keyboard sounds. i just can't get a sound when the note input is not selected.

You'd need to select at least some instrument, any measure, note or rest, else the Piano keyboard has no idea which sound to play
