Glad you found a solution, but to be clear - you don't need a plugin to add note names anymore. It's built into MuseScore. You can set the notehead scheme for selected notes in the Properties panel, or for a staff as a whole in Staff/Part properties (under Advanced style properties). That's true for both MsueScore 3 & 4 (except in 3, it's Inspector instead of Properties).
