issue formatting a "dim + cresc" sequence of hairpins linked to a WHOLE note

Hi all,
In attached picture I've highlighted three situations when I want to place a sequence of cresc/dim hairpin connected to a WHOLE note:
a) in green what I would like to achieve always,
b) in red it shows that I cannot make the crescendo hairpin of the target length when two "pp" are present on each side,
c) in yellow it shows that if I disable the automatic placement via INSPECTOR the hairpin becomes very small.
Is there a solution to this ?
