systems/staves too far apart in version 4 continuous view

My score has a piano grand staff and 2 additional staves that I added. They display fine in Page View, but when I switch to Continuous View (horizontal), they spread apart to fill the whole page from top to bottom. So I have my two added staves up at the top, then a huge gap, then the piano grand staff way down at the bottom, with the two piano staves also separated much much more than they should be. How can I get these systems & staves closer together while in continuous view?

Here it is. I've worked around the problem by going back to my downloaded source and adding the new staves in MS4, which resulted in everything displaying OK in continuous view. The problem score had been started using version 3, and I wonder if the conversion to version 4 had anything to do with this issue. But I'd still appreciate understanding how to adjust the spacing, if you can enlighten me. Thanks in advance.
