Mapping a specific VST to a specific articulation

I have difficulties understanding VSTs, but I have the BBC SO from SpitFire. When I use the Musescore 4 mixer to load the sound, the VST box opens and I am able to select the instrument and it’s articulation. However, that articulation is applied to every note on the instrument’s staff. Is there a way to map a specific VST to an articulation? For example, long violins play on notes without articulation and short violins play on staccato notes.
