But do pay attention to the limitations that are described there. Musescore is not a recording machine.
You may get better results by recording the midi elsewhere, then adjusting the quantization before opening the midi file with MuseScore. You will still need to be super accurate with your timing while playing.
I'm also looking for a live MIDI keyboard recording feature and could not find it in MuseScore 4. I use it a lot in Sibelius for many years and is one of the reasons why I don't want to say goodbye to Sibelius. For me this is the most important missing feature. Now I have to record in another DAW, export to a MIDI file and import in MuseScore.
Is this really the only possible workflow in MuseScore for live MIDI recordings?

Yes. Live MIDI is never nearly as accurate, efficient, or powerful as traditional note input, but if you wish to use it, a DAW provides a method. Someday a more direct method may be implemented if there is sufficient interest among people with the necessary programming skills.

Thanks for your confirmation. Then I use MuseScore correctly with the MIDI export from a DAW. I'm happy to upvote this feature request when possible.
