Musecore 4 Lag and sluggishness

My Musecore 4 is running extremely laggy and slow. I've tried having the mixer open as a temporary fix to the problem but it does little to nothing to help. I've also completely uninstalled and reinstalled with no avail.
My computer specs are the following:
GPU: 3060Ti
CPU: Ryzen 7 5700g 3.8ghz
RAM: 16gb 3600mhz
Sabrent Rocket 4+ SSD

There should seemingly be no problem at all running the application smoothly but that's just no the case.
