What happened with the image capture tool in MuseScore 4?

As a Preschool & Elementary music teacher, that is an essential tool I constantly use to write the music sheets for my music class.

Is there a plugin for that?
if it's not, is there a way to return to MuseScore 3?

I updated MuseScore 3 to MuseScore 4 on my new laptop and found that I had lost that tool.

The way to return to Musescore 3 is just to use it.
Unless you have explicitly uninstalled it, it is still there on your computer next to Musescore 4.
And if you have uninstalled it, then just reinstall from the download available on this site.
MuseScore 3 and 4 (and 2) are just different programs that install themselves next to each other, you can have several versions on your computer, and installing another one doesn't remove the one you already have. Upgrading a single version such as going from 3.5 to 3.6 is another story, in that scenario 3.6 will replace 3.5 unless you do something special to avoid it.

You can run both MS3 and MS4 on the same computer: I do this every day.

Download MS3 from the Older versions link on the Download page:

Be aware that you may have to change the default file association for a .mscz score file from MS4 back to MS3.
