There are hundreds of layout adjustments available under the general menu option Format > Style..., so it's well worth exploring that area to understand where to control each feature.
A particular trap is that many layout options are hidden deep, under the menu option Format > Style... > Text Styles. You have to scroll right to the end of the first-level list to find Text Styles.
