Explosion leaves two voices in the first staff
Why is it when I am trying to explode the two-voiced staff, it remains in the two-voice format after explosion?
new.mscz
before exploding:
right after exploding:
Is this the way it is supposed to be? If yes, how can I explode in such a way so that the first staff has only one voice after explosion?
Comments
Exchange voice 1-2 and delete pauses voice 2.

Does that mean I will always have to do that when exploding staves? Is there not a way for that to be done automatically?

I never had this behaviour like in your example. I always get the second voice in the second line as voice 1 after explode and first voice remains in the first line. You may try exchange voices before explode.

– I see. Thank you for this reply. Maybe it's because I was using the latest nightly build. I'll try doing it through the latest stable release.

Just tried doing it in stable MS 4.2 release. Unfortunately, got the same results.

You're looking the wrong way. Version 4.1 or other, last nightly eg (or V3) is not to blame. There's something wrong with your score from the start. The voices are not in the right order. Voice 1 should dominate immediately. I don't know why you've done it the other way round?
So, if the starting point is right: 1bnew.mscz
The "Explode" function gives the right result: 2bnew.mscz
