Changing page color in V 1.1

• Aug 1, 2023 - 20:18

I’ve been happily using V 1.1 for years; it’s almost perfect for my needs. I’d like to be able to change the background page color in Jazz Lead Sheet mode for inclusion in Word documents, but cannot seem to do this using any of the suggestions I’ve found in the Help topics. I’d appreciate any suggestions that don’t require upgrading; other apps on my air-locked 2009 iMac would become incompatible. I will be upgrading my system at some point, but not in the immediate future. Thanks…

No, the software was originally saved to a Zip drive; I’ve left my dedicated music computer (no Internet connection) without updates to maintain functionality of a bunch of software programs I still find very useful. Yeah, a metronome would be nice, but I find myself coming up with creative solutions & workarounds that actually help me better learn how to use the software. I’d like the background color of the sheet music screen “Grabs” to match the white paper text documents into which I’m inserting them (using Microsoft Office Suite for Mac) as I organize study materials.

My 2009 iMac is running OS X v. 10.5.8. If I download MuseScore 1.3 to my internet connected home computer will I be able to save it to a Zip drive & install it on my music computer? Will the many files I’ve previously created be accessible in 1.3? And how about that metronome? LOL! Thanks…

It's been a long time since MS1 but open the various menu items to find something like Preferences > Canvas (look for a 'Canvas' tab) where you can change the background color (what the paper sits upon) and/or change the color of the paper itself.
