How do I change a cappella singing to bowed strings?

Hello, I am looking at "Just As I Am - I Come Broken" but it is only SATB. How do I change it to Violins 1 & 2, Viola, and Cello?

Create an alto line below the treble clef staff. And a bass staff below the bass clef staff. Select the entire treble clef staff and select 'Explode' from Tools in the menu bar. Select the entire bass clef staff and hit 'explode. You can rename the staffs and select string sounds in the mixer.

That was my first thought, too.
Unfortunately, at least in 3.6.2 this does not work so easily, because the existing staff is partly written in voice 1 and 2 and in other measures only as a chord in voice 1.
Explode' then moves only voice 2 into the new staff, which is then only a few notes in a few measures.
You could now add a second alto staff between the two and run 'Explode' again. Then MuseScore separates the chords from voice 1.
Now you would have to delete those notes in this new staff in all the measures that were created before in the staff from voice 2 and then merge these two again with 'Implode'.
Test this, paying particular attention to measures 31 and 35-37, for example. E.g., a slur also disappears in 36 and 37.
It is possible but not easy and you have to check the result carefully.
To do this, I would first duplicate the first note line, so that the original is preserved and it is easier to compare.
